Kathleen P. Hockey, MSW, L.I.C.S.W.-WA, is a parent, award winning author, and recognized speaker in the area of childhood depression and prevention. For twenty years, Kathleen treated children and families in both psychiatric inpatient and outpatient settings, family therapy centers, as well as in community service centers. She is currently freelance writing, lecturing, and providing community education and training on depression, childhood depression, depression prevention and related topics. Kathleen's interest in preventing childhood depression grew from her own experience as a parent. She lives in Albuquerque, New Mexico with her husband and two children.
